Shawn Brothwell was born and raised in a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania. Shawn stayed in the area for college, attending the University of Scranton, where he majored in psychology. After college, Shawn used his degree in the human service field, working as a social worker for special needs children. After four years of social work, seeking a new challenge, Shawn decided to enter the legal field.
Shawn left northeastern Pennsylvania for Pittsburgh, to attend the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While in law school, Shawn interned for the Allegheny County Orphans’ Court and worked for a law firm that specialized in Workers’ Compensation and personal injury work. After graduating from law school, Shawn moved back to northeastern Pennsylvania to work as a law clerk for the Honorable Jason Legg, President Judge of Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. Shawn worked for Judge Legg for two years, gaining valuable insight into the judicial system and working on a wide variety of legal topics.
Shawn joined Ciccarelli Law to work in the family law department, and he also assists with criminal law. Shawn’s educational and professional background gives him a unique perspective to approach these human-centered sectors of the legal field. Shawn is new to Chester County and is excited to continue to explore this area and put down roots.
